Results of Obeying the Commandments:
1. Set above the Nations of the Earth
2. You will be blessed in the city (home life/Work) and in the Field (work/food)
3. The fruit of your body, ground, and cattle means you will be sustained in good fortune regarding food and sustenance.
4. Flocks of Sheep will be blessed
5. Increase in Kin
6. Those who work and grow things will be successful
7. Safe travels
8. All that you set your hand to will be successful- applies to farmers, artists, athletes etc
9. Enemies will flee
10. People will fear you because you are called of the Lord as his people
11. Blessed with rain
Results of Disobeying the Commandments
1. Cursed in the fields and city
2. Cursed in the fruit of thy body, cattle etc
3. Not protected from enemies
4. Poor health-fevers, consumption
5. Darkness- blinded
6. Cursed with adulteress for a wife
7. Cursed livestock
8. Pestilence
9. Locusts
In Helaman 12:3 it says that God chastens his people because they will not remember him in their wickedness if he doesn’t.
